Ayatollah Al-Qazwini leads Salat Al-Eid in the Shrine of Imam Hussein

As the holy month of Ramadan neared its end, Muslims all over the world prepared themselves for the great day of Eid Al-Fitr. This glorious day witnesses millions of people heading in flocks to Mosques all over the world to perform the prayer of Salat Al-Eid. Among the flocks were the citizens of Karbala, as they all headed to the shrine of Imam Hussein to perform the prayer. Ayatollah Al-Qazwini led the masses in the prayer. Following the prayer, his eminence delivered a sermon, Khutbat Al-Eid. The Ayatollah spoke about the benefits of the month of Ramadan and about the importance of Eid Al-Fitr. During the second part of his speech, Ayatollah Al-Qazwini spoke about the unstable situation in Iraq. He also spoke about the upcoming elections in Iraq and our responsibilities towards the elections. Following the Ayatollah's speech, his son, Sayid Hussein Al-Qazwini prayed Salat Al-Eid a second time as not all people found space to pray with first prayer.
